Position Title: School Psychologist or School Psychologist Intern or Psychometrist

Reports to: Director of Special Services and/or Designee

 

Minimum Qualifications: Certification as a School Psychologist or School Psychometrist; School Psychologist Intern-enrolled in School Psychologist Internship with an Oklahoma accrediated university.  

 

Certified Salary Schedule + 5%

CEU's for continued education paid for by the district

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations for all initial referrals and reevaluations in accordance with federal, state and district guidelines and with best practices.
  • Process and coordinate the placement of identified students with disabilities who move into the district from other school districts, agencies, states and students who may require a change of special education services placement.
  • Assist with Child Find screenings and evaluations.
  • Complete and upload required documentation of evaluation and placement decisions (reports, placement forms, etc.).
  • Serve as a consultant to the Response to Intervention Team.
  • Provide consultation with administrators, regular classroom teachers, special education teachers, counselors, vocational rehabilitation counselors, etc. concerned about children exhibiting particular learning and/or behavior problems.
  • Provide consultation on functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans for students exhibiting behavior problems.
  • Assist in monitoring records to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply state and federal regulations.
  • Advanced human relations, communications and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with students and their parents, district staff, and all other groups involved in the activities of the job.
  • Ability to complete, process, and maintain all required records, reports, and confidential information.
  • Works well with both supervisors and members of the team.
  • Maintains reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance.
  • Performs other duties assigned by Director of Special Services and/or designee.
