Job Title: The Arts Pathways Coordinator

Reports To: Educational Pathways Director and High School Principal

 

Description: The Arts pathway at Sapulpa High School will be a four-year program that encompasses many aspects and areas of the arts. Students who choose to go through this pathway will have the opportunity to make industry connections throughout this program. Students will be thoroughly aware of the possibilities and/or outcomes of this pathway following graduation. This is a high school teaching position that is also in charge of verifying and upgrading the high school's fine arts course(s) content. 

 

Job Summary: The Arts Pathways Coordinator at Sapulpa Public Schools plays a vital role in guiding and empowering students to make informed decisions about their future careers and educational paths within the arts field. This leadership position is responsible for implementing continued revisions of a comprehensive career development program, fostering partnerships with local businesses and educational institutions, and ensuring students have access to the resources and support they need to succeed in their chosen career pathways. 

The stipend for The Arts Pathways Coordinator position will be determined during the hiring process based on the growth and development of the pathways program. Factors considered in determining the stipend may include the number of extra days worked, number of students participating in the program, the variety of courses and activities offered, and the success of partnerships with local businesses and educational institutions. The stipend will be adjusted annually when the next grade level cohort is added and will continue to be adjusted until all four-grade level cohorts are participating in their respective grade level pathways courses.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common academic journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to effectively present information to district leaders, public groups, and/or boards of education.

 

REASONING ABILITY:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

OTHER SKILLS/EXPECTATIONS:  Develops cooperative and functional relationships with district staff and the public; maintains consistent and punctual attendance; ensures job responsibilities are met competently and within established deadlines. Ability to develop and work with complex data spreadsheets.
